The wooden churches in Sălaj county are considered objectives of cultural tourism, one of the most important areas of niche tourism that constitutes a priority on the agenda of the local public authorities in Salaj. The project proposes a new, unified approach of the seven heritage objectives through the establishment circuit of wooden churches as a thematic route for potential tourists/visitors, thus creating one of the few itineraries in the country dedicated to pilgrims and lovers of Romanian tradition, culture and spirituality.
